Sales Manager—UK
Board Vantage has an immediate opportunity for a Sales Manager to begin an exciting career with us.
Description:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding and increasing new bookings in the board portal market. This role will have significant emphasis on meeting quarterly sales targets, exceeding customer expectations and being able to manage dozens of opportunities simultaneously. The candidate must provide a proven track record of success in meeting sales targets consistently and who can manage complex sales cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Maximize sales into an assigned territory by working as a team when appropriate to target major accounts and large sales opportunities.
- Manage complex sales cycles and experience presenting to C- Level Executives, IT, and/or Legal departments
- Use a consultative approach to sell secure collaboration/board portal software to companies
- Target at least 4 hours per day on the phone with clients and prospects.
- Develop and manage new opportunities in the UK market
- Provide excellent customer service (handle all incoming information requests and sales calls promptly).
- Keep daily record of calls and information requests sent.
- Prospect, develop opportunities, demonstrate the product, close sales and prepare appropriate documentation.
- Follow up on inquiries generated through web and marketing programs.
- When appropriate, work closely with the channel in assigned territory in an effort to leverage selling efforts into the area.
- Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company.
- Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
- Update and maintain Sales database as appropriate.
- Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers, and technical staff.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of quota carrying software or technology sales and account management experience
- Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles from business champion to CEO/CFO level
- Experience with online selling (WebEx, Go To Meeting) * this is an absolute must
- Proven track record of over achieving quota consistently
- Able to provide high degree of major account management and control.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere.
- Strong written/verbal communications skills.
- Expertise with use of sales information databases.
