1. How do I delete files in BoardVantage?

   Once the corporate secretary performs a simple delete on a document, the file and any of its copies are permanently and irretrievably removed from the servers.

2. What happens after files are deleted?

   Any deleted data will be purged from the servers and backup media within 48 hours. BoardVantage does not maintain any other copies.

3. How do I keep documents secure if a Director downloads them?

   With BoardVantage, Directors download to an encrypted and password-protected folder on their PC. So while locally stored content is readily accessible to the Director, it remains under central control of the Corporate Secretary.

4. What happens when a Directors makes notes offline?

   Director's notes are kept on the BoardVantage servers or in the BoardVantage secure Briefcase. In either case they remain under the central control of the Corporate Secretary and can be purged remotely.

5. Can BoardVantage support a retention policy on those notes?

   BoardVantage enforces a company's document retention policies for items stored in the secure Briefcase. For example, documents subject to a 14-day retention policy will expire on the 15th day.

6. Is BoardVantage email secure?

   BoardVantage offers a private, secure, closed-loop email system. This means that Directors can exchange confidential information with the guarantee that deleted emails are purged irretrievably, since there are no client-side copies.

7. Can any deleted files be retrieved?

   No. BoardVantage applies the U.S. Armed Force's Orange Book standard to deleting files, thereby making them irretrievable.

8. Do BoardVantage personnel have access to my data?

   No. BoardVantage personnel do not have access to any client data. All customer data is also encrypted via encryption keys that are inaccessible to BoardVantage.

9. Does BoardVantage keep an audit trail of usage?

   No. BoardVantage does not monitor customer usage. Nor does it maintain any audit trails of other communications conducted within BoardVantage.

    The BoardVantage application is hosted in a secure data center and protected by encryption and authentication. BoardVantage also has strict user access controls. All aspects of the application security have been validated by independent audits and are SOC2 (SAS70 Type II) and SysTrust certified.
