The path of introducing technology to boards is marked by numerous and unusual challenges. Directors have various levels of technical literacy. Board materials require an unprecedented level of security as compared to typical office applications. And despite a strong emphasis on security, there can be no compromise on ease of use.

In this paper we will share our learning and identify the key attributes that need to be considered before building a portal for boards of directors or trustees.
